Knives Out (2019) (sort of a movie review)

KNIVES OUT is one of the most delightful shoutouts to comedic cozy mysteries that I’ve watched in ages, and a fantastic movie in its own right.

Rian Johnson has said that several of Agatha Christie’s novels inspired him, and that is very clear in the plotting, but the film is so clearly influenced by the glory that is CLUE (1985), there’s no missing it. 1

This review does not spoil the twists or the ending; however, please note there’s a death by suicide on camera, and some blood.
